Promoting Rotary's Public Image

Rotary's 'public image' is how Rotary is perceived by the world. When a Rotary club has a positive public image, current members are motivated to participate, prospective members are eager to join, and businesses want to sponsor events and service projects.

As Rotarians, we are all public image ambassadors tasked with the privilege of communicating our impact both locally and globally.

The public image committee is here to help you effectively communicate with the media, publicize your service projects, and create a positive public image of your club.

One of Rotary's strategic goals is to enhance the public’s image of Rotary by increasing awareness of our service and activities. Rotary International has provided many tools for us to use in our day-to-day Rotary life.  Those tools consist of guidelines, step-by-step instructions, templates, logos and much more. Access these tools by logging into Rotary International's MY Rotary portal.

Rotary Awareness Days for 2024

Below is a monthly list of important Rotary days. Each theme is a link for you to gather more information
about that month's awareness day to share with your members or on your social media pages:

Do you know what the most successful clubs have in common?

They communicate with their members frequently through various channels including email, newsletters, website, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.
They also use their local community newspapers and magazines for publicity.

Does your club keep an ongoing dialogue with current and potential members?

As Rotarians, we are all public image ambassadors tasked with the privilege of communicating our impact both locally and globally.

Rotarians serving on leadership and/or public image committees are tasked with an additional responsibility: keeping the Rotary brand intact. This ensures that our communications - print, digital, voice, etc. - will always look, feel, and sound unmistakably like Rotary. No matter the member, no matter the club. How we communicate our message to the world is vital to our future.

Through a consistent Rotary image and a clear, compelling voice, we are enhancing our legacy as one of the most respected organizations in the world.
