The Special Meeting on Friday, December 27, 2024, for District 7505 members will determine whether the proposed creation of New Jersey Rotary with two other NJ districts to form a single statewide “NJ Rotary” district moves forward. Here are the key points for your club:
- Voting Structure: Each club receives between 1 - 4 votes based on the number of active members as of July 1, 2024. All votes must align - no split decisions (e.g., 2 "for" and 2 "against").
- Elector Selection: Each club should appoint an "Elector" who will cast all votes on behalf of the club. The default Elector is the current Club President, but clubs can select another member if needed. Notify Melanie Druziako of any changes by Monday, December 23, 2024 by 5:00PM.
- Registration and Meeting Access: Electors will receive a unique, non-transferable registration link for the meeting. Ensure the designated Elector uses their link exclusively, as sharing it will disqualify their vote.
- Meeting Participation Requirements: No call-ins allowed. All Electors must keep their web-cameras on throughout the meeting. Only one (1) person on camera allowed. Voting will occur via a special link shared in the Zoom chat during the session.
To prepare, make sure your club selects its Elector, decides on its vote, and ensures attendance. Reminders and follow-up information will be provided as the meeting date approaches.
Yours in Rotary Service,
